FIND THE BEST BRUNCH IN DEPTFORD
Brunch this weekend? It’s a yes from us!
Deptford is home to loads of great independent cafés serving tasty brunch treats throughout the week.
Whether you’re a veggie, vegan, meat eater or just a plain old fussy eater, we thought we’d make it a little easier to choose your next brunch spot in Deptford.
We couldn’t possibly say what the best brunch in Deptford is, though - you’ll have to try them for yourself…
Deptford Market Yard is host to a number of tempting cafes, bars and pop-ups.
Tucked away in Arch 7 is Lomond Coffee, owned by sisters Hayley and Linzi (who trained as a coffee roaster at the London School of Coffee – who knew that was a thing?). We promise you’re in for a treat.
The food on the menu is made in-house (local St John delivers their fresh sour dough and doughnuts) and features brunch favourites like Shakshuka, breakfast burritos and smoothie bowls as well as the infamous one-pan full English – a must try.
Lomond Coffee is vegan friendly (we highly recommend the sweetcorn fritters!). Check it out on Instagram.
Well known in the community for its sustainable and eco-friendly outlook, Green House Café focuses on locally and ethically sourced produce.
From vegan options to low carb, gluten free or high protein, it caters for every diet. Read more about its food values on the website.
We especially love their Mediterranean platter – piled high with hummus, aubergine, avocado and a mixed salad. Or just keep it simple with plain old fruit and granola – it’s equally as delicious!
Stop by at 481 New Cross Road, SE14 6TA.
We’re pretty sure that if you tried anything on the menu here you wouldn’t be disappointed. Just check out Instagram and see for yourself – our mouths are watering just thinking about toasted cinnamon buns with cream cheese icing…
Vegans are well catered for too – the tofu scramble with avocado on sourdough is just as delicious as the vegan sausage bap (with a coffee for just a fiver!).
Top off your meal with a slice of tasty cake – the chocolate and Guinness one is just sublime…
Find them at Arch 9, Deptford Market Yard.
Got a favourite brunch spot that we’ve missed off this list? Let us know – we’d love to check it out.
